In 1936 the Lincoln Brigade, composed of 2.800 Americans, along with about 50.000 volunteers from 54 countries, came to defend the Spanish Republic. What is barely known is that among those volunteers were eighty-five African Americans, who went to combat to fight racism and for the civil rights they were denied in their own country. INVISIBLE HEROES who went to a distant war to fight for their freedom. This documentary also has the participation of historians and experts from Spain and the United States, as well as unpublished archive images.
